A funded trader is an individual who trades financial instruments using capital provided by a proprietary trading firm or a third-party funding company. In this arrangement, the trader does not use their own capital but instead trades with the firm’s or company’s funds. Typically, funded traders are required to demonstrate their trading skills and ability to generate profits through a trading evaluation process. Once they pass the evaluation and meet certain performance targets, they may receive access to larger amounts of capital to trade with, along with a share of the profits they generate. Funded trading programs offer an opportunity for traders to gain access to significant capital resources and potentially earn substantial profits without the need for substantial personal investment.
